Vertical Shaft Impact Crushers are a specific type of impact crushers that have been designed for crushing of very hard and abrasive material. They excel at manufacturing perfectly shaped aggregates and manufactured sand.

 

3 TYPES OF CRUSHING CHAMBER

  • CLOSED ROTOR WITH ROCK SHELF: This setup is the best solution for processing the hardest and the most abrasive materials as the crushing takes place with Rock-on-Rock (ROR) principle.
  • CLOSED ROTOR WITH ANVILS: This setup performs very well for crushing medium to hard material. Closed rotor throws the material towards the steel anvils (Rock-on-Steel - ROS) around it which results in highly homogeneous crushing.
  • OPEN ROTOS WITH ANVILS: This setup is generally used for crushing soft and less abrasive material with Steel-on-Steel principle (SOS). Since the top of the rotor is open the feed size for this type is typically larger compared to other options.
