FINE MATERIAL WASHERS
GRAU FINE MATERIAL WASHERS
WHAT IS A FINE MATERIAL WASHER?
Fine Material Washer is a special type of sand washing equipment that consists of an inclined screw conveyor with a large basin at the bottom of it. Fine Material Washers are primarily used to remove excessive unwanted material from sand, such as dust, clay or silt that are nominally minus 200 mesh (75 µm). These particles are removed with water, while clean material gets conveyed towards the discharge end.
HOW DO FINE MATERIAL WASHERS WORK?
The sand and wash water from the washing screen gets discharged into the Fine Material Washer basin. Clay and silt get suspended in the water, while the screw slowly pulls the heavier sand particles up towards the discharge end. With some scrubbing effect and sometimes additional spray bars on top of the shafts it is possible to get clean fine material up to 10mm.
